I will not answer AI-written emails. A short, imperfect email in your own voice is much better than a generic, LLM-written email.

Prospective students:

If you are interested in a PhD with me, please apply to the University of Miami Computer Science PhD program directly and name me in your application. If you also want to reach out to me, please tell me in your own words what draws you to topics I work on. This could be a language or writing system you find fascinating, issues you've encountered with AI for your own language, or a related problem you want to solve. That tells me more than a summary of my own research or a list of your accomplishments.
